Online Coding Clubs

Our online coding clubs are a fun way to learn some simple coding skills. We'll explore some key coding concepts such as algorithms, inputs, variables and repeats. We'll build up over the weeks so that children a re focussed on a longer project but can see results and progress every week. At the end of each course they receive a certificate recognising their skills and commitment.

It requires good listening skills and concentration but rewarding when they see their code work.

We use the award winning Purple Mash online platform and their Mash Club area to create our own online game, debug software and even a dancing robot!

Purple Mash is great for beginners and a good way to learn some of the basic concepts and skills. If you've used it before then there's great opportunities to stretch yourself and practice what you already know.

The sessions will be once a week for 1 hour up to February half term. As part of the club your child will have a Purple Mash login and can work on their coding skills outside of each club session.

The coding club is also a great activity to learn alongside your child and spend some time together learning a new skill. A number of parents enjoyed that during our clubs in March 2020. You can read more about our last clubs here.

Your child will receive:

  • 5 hours of online coding sessions

  • Unlimited access to Purple Mash for 5 weeks

  • A certificate to recognise their achievements

  • Support & help outside of each weekly session
